CCE makes sideframe details to install over the Eishindo sideframes.  This gives the rolling stock a more prototypic appearance.  Note, the 3-axle sideframes can be installed over 2-axle trucks and the lack of a "real" third axle is hard to distinguish, or you can modify the trucks to have a third axle if desired.

The basic process is:
1.  File down the outside of the stock truck, enough to remove the detail and give a rough surface to adhere the etched sideframe to. They can be filed very thin--which gives the best appearance.  Finished sideframes should be slightly inside the width of the body.
2.  Adhere the sideframe with superglue being careful not to get any on the axles/wheelsets or gears.  Be careful to position the sideframe correctly and level to the rails for the best appearance.  If needed you can usually carefully pry off and re-apply, although be very careful with acrylic sideframes--they break more easily.  A slow drying superglue gives some time to move and adjust to look best.
3.  Paint the sideframe the desired color (silver, roof brown, etc.)

Note the overhang of the body--this is achieved by sanding down the stock sideframes.
